Back in 2009 an Adult summer Football League was initiated; thereâs also a lake park where you can go duck hunting, fishing and boating, or just for jogging and walking. There are also picnic areas, shelters and several playgrounds, so you can have fun at the same time with your children. The lake park was created in 1929. Before that here was just farm land.
You should know that duck hunting is only allowed during the hunting season and that you need a special permit . There are also 16 duck blind slots on the Claremore lake. If you want to compete in the draw you need to show an Oklahoma driverâs license.
Also, you need to know that you cannot leave your pets to run around. Animals must be kept under control at all times in the park. Also, playgrounds cannot be rented, but they look very well and are well equipped.
Picnic tables and several grills are available for everyone to use so you can have a wonderful family picnic in this park.
Bicycle lanes and pedestrian friendly routes are a high priority in the city of Claremore. Thereâs a one mile asphalt section near the Recreation Center. It is a multiuse trail.
